Club Satellite


Meeting Time & Location

The First Kiwanis Club of Independence Satellite Meeting was held Monday April 27, 2009 from 5pm to 7pm at TGI Friday’s in Independence.  In attendance were 6 Kiwanis Members and 3 guests.  Members: Tiffany Bumgardner (Satellite Lead), Tawna Noftzger, Chyanne Lockhart Cardarella, Ann Winston, Joe Donald, and Michael Hahn.  Guests:  Rick Van Fleet, Philip Cardarella, and Tom Noftzger. 

Each guest received a packet of information regarding Kiwanis and the Satellite program, and were invited to join the club.  Ideas for future gatherings and prospective service projects were discussed.  Volunteers were engaged for Mom’s Baby Shower and Pets in the Park.  Club Satellites are formed to expand the service efforts of existing clubs and/or extend opportunities for people to be engaged in Kiwanis service.


The next meeting will be held Monday evening May 18 - location and time to be announced.
